I’m Chance Lindner aka The Pink Mowhawk. I am a father, a family man, an expeditionist, an entrepreneur, and a major advocate of Breast Cancer Awareness and the fight to find a cure.
In support and appreciation for my mother Mary, I started Chance For Hope and my campaign as The Pink Mohawk to raise awareness for breast cancer with hopes of sharing the importance of early detection, which saved my mother’s life.
I was born and raised in America’s freezer, otherwise known as Minnesota where I was very fortunate to be a part of a caring family that loved the great outdoors and things like camping, and fishing,
After high school, I decided to pick up and move out west in search of warmer winters, and I ended up in Phoenix, Arizona, where I now spend most of my time and raise my family. I landed a good paying career in the tech industry shortly after moving to Phoenix and being young and wanting to experience my new life in a big city, I decided to put college off awhile, which turned into several years.
Recently I decided to follow my passion to help people and started college to pursue medicine with the goal of becoming a physician. I recently completed my undergraduate studies in the fields of paramedicine and psychology, graduating with the highest honors, a feat I do not think I would have accomplished right out of high school without the perspective, focus, and determination obtained by the challenges and maturity of life experience, and the wisdom and gratitude gained by it.

My Family
My family has been an inspiration to me as long as I can remember. My father Al Lindner who was born and raised in Chicago, IL with his brother Ron, who began as fishing guides and became two of the most influential people in the sport of freshwater fishing, teaching people worldwide how to fish and popularizing catch and release. From nothing, they built a successful magazine and television company reaching millions of people by doing what they love and sharing the sport of fishing. See their stories here.
My younger brother Troy came out to Arizona after high school and/where he later graduated from ASU, where he played some football and ran for the ASU Track and Field team for 4 years. Troy now lives in Los Angeles where he is a fitness and nutrition consultant, with clients like US Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer Amanda Beard, which brought him to the Beijing Olympics. Troy also is a competitive tournament fisherman, following in the footsteps of the family business, he also films some segments for the television show each year. Click for more about Troy.
My partner Nichol has given me the biggest joy in my life, and that is my wonderful princess of a daughter. The princess enjoys little ponies and anything Frozen (if you have a young daughter, you understand)!
Nichol is finishing her studies in business and government this spring and graduating from Harvard University.
